on Saturday, July 4th, we will host our first Rural Mural Brush Bash, led by guest artist Sasha Jimenez French (birdgirl arts). Community members will gather to create mural panels inspired by the places and landscapes that define our corner of the Outaouais. These works will then be installed at notable community gathering places and landmarks along and near Route 315, helping create a cultural circuit that reflects the rural character of the region and, we hope, sheds a little light on our unique community spirit. Taking place on the same day as the beloved Mayo Picnic, it will be an ideal opportunity to spend the day exploring Route 315 and experiencing the many local gathering places that make this area unique. This event is free. Please RSVP and, as always, please feel free to support our events via a contribution.

Music returns on Sunday, July 26 with an afternoon performance by The LH Express. Afternoon Light with LH Express features soaring guitars, deep blues grooves, and a soulful summer concert filled with energy, musicianship, spirit and heart. Tickets can be purchased here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-CA/ticketing/afternoon-light-the-lh-express-at-olla.
Beginning in July, Our Lady of Light will also open again for regular Saturday hours (11-3), inviting visitors to stop in, experience the space, and enjoy this season’s installations at their own pace.
